Our restaurants offer a range of special menus to suit different celebrations. We also organise our own, annual events and special theme weeks. Sparkling, joy-filled May Day lunches at our restaurants on 1 May 2026 – book early!
On the first day of May, we raise a glass to spring, drape streamers around our necks and gather around the table to enjoy good food with friends and family. We believe May Day deserves a proper celebration, so on 1 May Olo Collection’s restaurants will be serving inviting May Day lunches and brunches.
At Scolare you’ll find Italian sparkling May Day spirit, at Emo Nordic quality, at Bistro Ego French bistro classics with Japanese nuances and at Brasa the charred flavours of open fire. Our seaside summer restaurant Särkänlinna also opens on May Day. A May Day lunch on the island of Särkkä, in one of Helsinki’s most beautiful settings, is a truly special experience. Award-winning Forza will be serving the city’s most delicious pizzas on May Day too.
There is plenty to choose from, as the historic Valkoinen Sali celebrates May Day with a delicious festive spread and an elegant atmosphere. The day’s soundtrack will be provided by Berlin-based producer-DJ Kasper G.
All our restaurants are located in central Helsinki, just a short walk from the May Day festivities in Kaivopuisto and Esplanadi. May Day lunches are served throughout the day, and many of our restaurants offer two sittings, making it easy to join us in the midst of the celebrations.

Our beautiful summer restaurant Särkänlinna is open from early May until the end of September. In the first and last weeks of the season, it operates as a private-booking venue, and its à la carte opens in mid-May.
Our joyful crayfish season kicks off every year on July 21 and continues right through to the end of September. The city’s most legendary crayfish parties have been held at Särkänlinna for over 100 years. We’ll publish the Särkänlinna crayfish menu in June – but you can book your own party right now!

Chef’s Dinner
Twice a year, all our head chefs gather in one kitchen to create a dinner you can’t experience anywhere else. Each Chef’s Dinner is built around a special theme and hosted in one of our central Helsinki restaurants. Menus and prices are announced about two months before each event. A ticket to a Chef’s Dinner also makes a wonderful gift for any food lover!
Truffle Weeks – Winter’s Most Luxurious Moment
Every February, our restaurants celebrate French black winter truffles – each in their own unique way.
Our truffles come from Maison Pébeyre in Southwest France, a family estate founded in 1897. Each truffle is hand-picked and carefully inspected. Known as the “black diamonds” of Périgord, their deep umami flavour and perfect texture bring structure and richness to every dish, enhancing flavours with their powerful aroma.

In Olo Collection’s restaurants in central Helsinki, Easter appears on the plate in fresh flavour pairings and surprising dishes, where passion and the joy of cooking take even familiar flavours in a more interesting direction.
